Earth Day

A visit to the local kids museum a few days ago left me happy that "recycling" clothing (and so many other things!) is simply carrying on a long tradition!
The plaque said, "Immigrants were very frugal. They did not waste. After something was worn out it was used in a different way." A perfect ideal for Earth Day!
I rummaged around at the local thrift shops this week and found some great things. Now I need the time to actually DO something with them! I keep buying pillowcases with the intention of making them into dresses (or maybe pants?) for Ava.
Sheets too! I have this dream of making myself some cute lounge pants.....
then maybe lounging in them. It's good to dream.

I've been buying vintage kids patterns from ebay like crazy.....I also thrifted a few. Let's hope the nice weather they're calling for this weekend doesn't distract me from my sewing:-)
